“The home was clean and nicely furnished. The driveway is narrow, and there is a fire hydrant on the curb, making it a little annoying to park, and you have to step high on the front steps to avoid kicking the flowers. But the minor inconveniences are worth it for a location that is easy to reach with convenient access to main roads, and is absolutely gorgeous. ”

The drive was 45 minutes to the park entrance, and an additional 45 minutes to get to the general Sherman tree/ congress trail. “Great little place that is stocked with essentials, and more. The road up to the place is pretty squiggly, so keep that in mind if you get car sick! I had to be the driver in the area to avoid it. Because of the roads, it took a little longer for us to go to dinner on our first night and to get to the parks, so keep that in mind.We brought a lot of our own breakfast food, but did notice there is some easy food stuff like pancake mix in the cabinets, possibly from past guests, which is nice. “First, I’m very grateful for the communication with the VRBO host, she was very responsive. This is not ideal if you’re looking for a comfortable stay like I was. The restroom situation is not comfortable, the outlets did not work, and overall it was more of a camping experience than a comfortable stay. Probably a stay that should be listed on HipCamp and not VRBO.”
