On arrival, I looked for a luggage cart. Staff said they didn’t know where they were and told me to wait. After 20 minutes, I went looking floor by floor for a cart. Finally found one. No help from staff. Entered room, the temperature was set at 60 degrees. Freezing in the room. Next morning I went to shower. Only had Luke warm water and the faucet leaked. Went down for breakfast at 0745 and found most of the food was gone. Apparently a large group of workers pretty much cleaned everything out. No eggs, no cinnamon rolls, no yogurt, no muffins, and a bunch of rotten bananas. There were a good number of guests who came down for breakfast and encountered the same thing. Most people were pretty angry. Spoke with both staff and manager regarding this and they said they had no control over how much food each guest takes. I’ve seen people in the past walk out with a half dozen muffins and more. I mentioned perhaps limiting portions so that all could eat and was told that they couldn’t do that to their customers. I did remind them that I also was a customer and that I expect the same accommodations. I have stayed at HI Express for years and have never encountered such poor service. I don’t know if I will ever stay at HI Express again. No apologies, no empathy, nothing but BS from the staff!
