Basalt is a short 25 minute drive to Aspen, but in a quieter town that we loved. “This is a renovated 2BR/2BA condo about a 3 minute walk in ski boots to the Lionshead Gondola.Location: This is on the ground floor and opens directly onto the pool and hot tub which was a huge plus for us. It has electric shades for use at night if you are worried about privacy. It has peek-a-boo views of the mountain. Because you are on the ground floor you never need to use an elevator which we liked as well. Finally the "front" door opens to a car-free courtyard which was nice as……
