“Relaxed and peaceful ,stress free”

“Wir waren etwa vor 15 Jahren breits schon einmal hier an dieser wuderbaren Location. Aber es war als wie wenn wir nur kurz weg gewesen wären, über die Schwelle getreten und wir hatten sofort das Welcome Home feeling wie vor 15 Jahren.Nur das diesmal unser 11 Jähriger mit dabei war, der erkunden wollte warum er einen Nordischen Namen bekommen hat, und wir das Land und die Menschen so lieben.Wir haben uns bei der Anfahrt natürlich verfahren, aber abends um 22 Uhr, an einem Hof, ein Kind gefragt wo……

“The kitchen has a good range of tools and equipment. A popcorn maker was provided with a complimentary packet of popcorn to try (which we did not). Although not in the description I read, there was an air fryer provided which we did try and found useful (we do not have one at home). There was also a coffee maker and there were coffee pods supplied which my wife made full use of! And there was a proper tea pot supplied and backup tea bags were available. “It was a home away from home and it’s all down to the hosts who went above and beyond during our stay. I’m from Ireland and live in Australia and it was magical to discover this gem in Westmeath. Lots of lovely village activity but nice and peaceful inside. We all slept really well in the comfortable bedrooms and there was so much space in the entire house. Just a 15 minute drive from Mullingar town, a 12th Century Friary 2 minutes away and you can grab a coffee up at the Friary Blooms gardens 5……

“We had a great time. The Old School House was an excellent choice for us. It was pet friendly with lots of outdoor space for our 2 dogs to explore. It was clean and very comfortable with all we could need to be a great home from home. Would recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a rural, quiet, spacious getaway.”
