“Chris was an amazing host. Great sense of humor, and very welcoming. I loved the mature trees and hike right off the property. The local animals were also a major plus! They even offer vegan sausage, butter, and blood pudding - I can vouch for the first two but wasn't brave enough to try vegan blood pudding! The moment we drove up, I was disappointed we were only staying one night. I would LOVE to visit again in the future! ”

“This lodge is such a gem and it deserves all the praise. The woman who runs it is absolutely lovely — so kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly. We ended up chatting with her a lot, and she always made time for us, which we really appreciated (especially since we probably talked her ear off, sorry!). “The view of the river and trees in the seating area behind the bunkhouse was beautiful. The staff were wonderful but reception being closed until 4pm makes it difficult to find help if you have any questions during the day. There were also no lockers in the rooms, or much space for personal storage. Other than that it was all lovely. ”

“Service is good, breakfast is excellent. Wifi is slow and disconnect every 5 mins. Due the night time between 1700-2130. It is because, they share with the pub and restaurant guest wifi. When you showers the water sometimes hot and cold. The room is nice.Easy to park.”

“The Courtyard Flat is like a home away from home. Lovely friendly and helpful owners. Welcome basket was a great start and meant we could unpack with a cup of tea and a treat.
