I loved this hotel. The room was gorgeous and spacious. The amenities were excellent. There was a great view of the Burj from my room. And, the staff was unparalleled. The day i was supposed to leave my flight got cancelled and I was stuck in Dubai an extra day. The staff was so helpful at turning over my room and giving me my same room back. They were very understanding of my situation and even gave me a small discount for the extra day. The room service was delicious and delivered in a timely manner. And, the water pressure of the shower was amazing. I am writing this review nearly 2 months after my stay and i still dream about this hotel. The only downside is that the location isnt near much so you will pay a little more in ubers and taxis getting around.

A 10-Star Experience — A New Standard of Service My first trip to Dubai was unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional experience at Shangri-La Dubai. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly next-level. Every single staff member—from the front desk to the pool team—was kind, smiling, and genuinely attentive. Not once did I have to open a door myself. They welcomed us like family. I was celebrating my birthday and was surprised with two full-sized cakes—one when we arrived and one on my actual birthday. They even ensured everything was nut-free due to my son’s severe allergies. That level of care brought me to tears. The luxury of the space was only matched by the warmth of the people. Our room was cleaned twice a day, and we were gifted champagne to celebrate. The staff constantly checked in, offering help and guidance as I explored Dubai for the first time. I always felt safe and supported. One team member even helped us figure out where to shop and which excursions were worth it. On our last day, a young woman who had bonded with my son gave us a handwritten letter and macaron cookies. I’ll never forget that moment. This hotel didn’t just impress me — it changed my expectations. The service, the kindness, the attention to detail... it was luxury at its best. I’ll absolutely be back. Thank you to the entire team at Shangri-La Dubai for making our stay unforgettable.

The property is well located for the Dubai Mall and other major attractions. The staff are excellent. Our room was smaller than expected with very limited room for large suitcases, we had ours stuck in the hallway entering into our room. Beds are comfortable. Our room was with a few problems. Safe didn't work, lights not working correctly and the taps very stiff. All they did was repair them and not offer an alternative room which is what I would have expected. The toiletries are lacking. For a couple they expect us to share the tiny travel bottles which is a joke as this is supposed to be a luxury hotel. The bathroom isnfar away from 5star it is dated and not at all nice. Good variety at breakfast. They have live music in the bar which is nice. I ordered an old fashion and it was poor, second one was a little better. I did pay for it but really shouldn't have. Overall if I stayed again it would have to be a better room but I honestly don't think I would.

Excellence was in rendezvous at Shangri-La Dubai on Sheik Zayed rd❤️❤️❤️From the doorman Mohamed to Keith and his team at the lounge club, and any other staff you meet on the hallway was just excellent and top notch hospitality 🙏🙏🙏 reminded me a lot of the high standards services you get in America and I just felt home. staff was careful and excellent service was provided. regarding the room, i was situated on the 40th floor which is almost at the top, but i had troubles with the traffic from the nearby highway which had lots of noise and people revving their engines in loud cars, which made it difficult to fall asleep without earplugs. I also expected a better layout, it felt very claustrophobic due to poor use of the space, the decorations are very 70's ish and feel out of style. i was happy to see cleanliness of the room was a guaranteed feature in these premises, and the cleaning staff was very careful with my belongings and efficient. an aspect i really did not appreciate was that the whole floor reeked of cigarette and cold tobacco, which the hotel responds to by using perfume deodorants instead of odor removers. I am non-smoker and have a sensitive sense of smell so I did not like that. maybe put the smokers on the same floors instead of mixing. i did not use the amenities much (pool, restaurants etc.) but the breakfast was good, with rotating daily specials so its not always the same which is a plus. i also had troubles with the wifi connection which i needed for work but it was promptly fixed and i did not face any further problems regarding that issue. overall, a great experience and conveniently placed near city center, alas i expected better from a 5 star hotel, which justifies my rating of 3 stars out of 5.
