The hotel was a big disappointment, there is a big difference between the pictures where everything looks luxurious and reality, the room that I received was far for a 4*hotel,the room was outdated, with an unpleasment smell, I didn't like it and I change the hotel I went to Royal Blue where everything was wonderful

I realllly enjoyed staying at Valamar. The pool view is incredible, and it’s nearby a few mins walking to a stunning beach. Their breakfast and dinner buffet was also delicious. The rooms are pretty simple, so if you want an elevated room experience spend a little more for the pool view. I can’t wait to go back!

Hotel had been modernised throughout and has a lovely breakfast/ Restuarant and bar area overlooking the tiered infinity pools, which overlooks the beautiful sea view and surrounding islands. The hotels external paintwork needs some attention but overall quality of rooms and bed comfort is excellent. Was less impressed with the smell of cigarette smoke coming from the office next to our room and throughout the reception lobby area. Bar and food prices were exceptionally pricey compared to other European destinations. Bar staff service was disappointing, for example wishing to charge 5 Euro for a can of Sprite when requesting a drink be topped up slightly. Bus into the old town can be caught outside the hotel and is only 12-15 mins drive.

Staff were really helpful with local knowledge. Catching the number 6 bus was so easy and made travelling into the old town convenient. Loved that we were that little bit further out from the Hussle and bussle of the old town, but had great beaches/ beach clubs and some lovely restaurants close by. Property facilities were great, having a bigger gym would have been a personal preference.

The staff work hard to keep the hotel and its amenities clean. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. One item that was consistently disappointing was how often we were told we were unable to have umbrellas at the pool due to wind. 2 of our 4 days we were unable to have an umbrella. There is no other shade on their pool deck whatsoever, so if you’re being safe with your sun exposure, you essentially eliminate a massive and expensive amenity you have paid for. Of course the wind is not in the control of the hotel, but the umbrellas they purchase is. The connection between the umbrella and the base is only about 12-15 cm and it is not fastened in any way, so of course the wind makes it dangerous; it can just slide right off. We spent days at beaches where the wind was much greater than the hotel (we actually checked the weather app and are not just guessing) and we were fine to use umbrellas because they were fastened properly. One other frustrating aspect was that they throttle your ability to use your room’s air conditioning. The room got quite warm one day, so I asked about it and they changed the setting on the thermostat so I could set it lower. They were very helpful with this, but it was frustrating we had to ask. Overall, we had a good stay, and the staff do truly take great care to provide you with a clean and enjoyable experience, but there were a few unfortunate aspects about our stay that we don’t believe we should have encountered paying nearly 350 euros per night.

Brilliant relaxing hotel. Beautiful views from the pool areas, loungers always available. Convenient bus number 6 outside the hotel taking you direct into Lapad and also continuing onto the old town in 20-25 minutes. Lots of quiet areas within the hotel and grounds to relax and chill out. Couldn’t fault it, brilliant holiday. Fully recommend. Not for kids, stay in the sister hotel Lacroma for this.

A pleasant surprise for an airport area budget priced hotel. Low cost shuttle to and from FCO. Nice clean air conditioned (adjustable temperature) room. We walked a block away to a riverfront street lined with restaurants seafood and pizza especially. Authentic area not touristy. Desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Very happy here

This hotel was amazing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the amenities were great and the views were incredible. Being able to watch the sunset over the Adriatic Sea was one of the highlight of my stay. The only problem I had was the live music. Having live music is great and I really enjoyed it at 8pm but it was every night until 11pm in the courtyard right outside my balcony, which meant I couldn’t sleep until the music was over and everyone else had called it a night. Otherwise, a brilliant stay!
