“The large kitchen/great room, large screened-in porch and dock with water slide made this stay a perfect summer getaway to spend with family! There were even a few games and coloring books and supplies that saved the day during those summer pop-up showers! ”

“This was such a cozy retreat for us. A glimpse back in time. Wonderful hosts with good communication. House was very clean and interesting. Beds comfortable and lots of blankets and linens. We just needed some extra sleeping space for our near by family Thanksgiving, but we ended up getting so much more!”

“Overall a great place to stay and easy to find. Not exactly "lakefront" as advertised, as it was across the street with no lake frontage. However, views from the front porch were nice. The large circular seating area was a favorite spot.”

BJ quickly responded to my Facebook post about the opening and was very welcoming! We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend in Evarts! We loved the location to the trails! “This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The location is good and the owner is great. Kim is very responsive. We had an issue with the temperature in the place and Kim addressed it quickly and attentively; and it was resolved. Even my dog was comfortable staying there. He usually barks when we leave him alone (crated), but he didn't while there. ”

“What a lovely place to stay in the mountains of southwest Virginia. We visit BSG nearly every year for a family reunion. The only decent hotel in town has seen better days and we wanted something more comfortable. This trip was my 84 year old Dad and me. He LOVED it and so did I!!!The owners took care to think of everything when renovating this house. From being able to make our fresh coffee from the provided supplies to the fabulous shower I wish I had at home — everything was perfect! We look……
