“We had a great time here and loved the property! The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there, and more! The only trouble we had was figuring out how to open and lock the door - it often took a few minute before getting it, but that could be because our door handles are different in Canada and we had to figure the tricks out. Had a tricky time finding the place in the dark when we arrived, but it's right across from a small fire station (there was no noise or anything) on the……

“Walking into this home was a treat, it smelled fresh and clean, was beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we could possibly want. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the included toiletries were lovely. Beds were comfortable, bedding very nice and our stay was peaceful and perfect. We particularly enjoyed the sunsets from our deck and the deer grazing in our front yard. Owners provided lots of local knowledge and recommendations. Definitely a highlight of our trip. ”

“ARUS is a very nice modern home - spacious and great views. It has all the amenities that a person / family would need for a stay on the Isle of Skye. It is a short distance from Portree by car but perhaps too far to walk frequently into Portree (2 miles). The property was clean, quiet, and very comfortable.”

“After a long day of driving past tons of sheep from Inverness, we arrived at the house on Skye. It was indeed remote, exactly as we expected. Thankfully, the wifi information was posted visibly in a window so we could check the app for entry instructions, because there was a triffling amount of cell signal out there.Once inside, the sunny kitchen was glorious. The entire house was comfortable, with great views of the water.One night we even could see the aurora in the night sky.The only downside……

“My husband and I and two friends from the States recently spent three wonderful nights at The Old Church on the Isle of Skye. The beautiful old church has been thoughtfully and beautifully restored and renovated into two 3 bedroom units with ample amenities. We were in the Preachers Rest and had beautiful views of the Little Minch Strait. The stunning grounds of the property were immaculate and lovingly cared for. We would recommend this property and its proprietors without hesitation and hope……

“Beautiful house in a fairly remote location. Just on the edge of the water. Short drive to the stein inn which is the oldest pub on Skye. Loch Bay the only Michelin started restaurant on the island is next to the stein inn.Property as described in the listing.Lovely location, lovely house. “The property really is a 5 min walk from town. That was the best part. The info and photos online are dated and because that set expectations, our initial impression was disappointing - which planted a seed of doubt. Thankfully, the TV, mattresses and towels were all fine. Our stay would have also been enhanced by any kind of general info letter. We had to get in touch with the host for the wi-fi code and figure out the systems for ourselves (i.e. the heating -- but once we figured it out, it……

“Beautiful house at the end of the island. Stunning view. We got to see dolphins, seals and eagles from the living room.Plan lots of time if you want to explore Skye from here, since it is pretty far out and the roads are only to driven slowly.The house was not quite as clean as we had expected but Alan and Gill were very kind and did everything to correct it.”
