My stay at Baymont Hotel had both positives and negatives. Upon arrival at 4 PM, the check-in experience was uncomfortable. The front desk associate confronted me right away, questioning why only two people were present when I had booked for four. After explaining that my kids were on their way from school, she immediately assumed there would be more than four guests, even after I clarified. Her dismissive attitude, including rolling her eyes-made the process unpleasant. I’d strongly recommend further training for front desk staff to ensure a more welcoming experience.
That said, the rooms were accommodating and clean, and the new beds made for a comfortable stay. However, my room was located next to the pool, which made it difficult to rest. If you’re a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend booking near the pool, as the noise carries from 8 AM to 10:30 PM. Additionally, accessibility could be improved, as the front entrance features a long staircase that may not be ideal for guests needing easier access.
Breakfast was another area that needed attention. The two associates struggled to keep up with restocking essential items like forks, spoons, plates, napkins, and food. The waffle batter wasn’t refilled after the first round, leaving many guests waiting.
