“House is nicely appointed. Good views of lake particularly during the morning sunrise. Fairly steep walk down to lake. Can be slippery after rain. However, it’s beautiful. Be aware that the road into the property is fairly narrow and dirt and spots are muddy if wet, but not in any way impassable, just rustic. However, it would be difficult to bring a large boat onto the property and be able to turn around or maneuver it. You’d be better off launching from Pike Hole Resort or Cass Lake and……

“Westwood was very comfortable for our family. 5 adults. The setting is completely perfect. Secluded and private in the woods. Ideal spot for a quiet vacation. Had everything we needed for meal prep and was very clean. I couldn’t find many reviews of this quiet, lakeside resort but decided to book anyway and I am so glad we did!”

“Coming from the Twin Cities, this was a very pleasant four hour drive north into a wonderfully secluded lakeside cabin resort. While we didn't fish (it seems perfect for it), we did enjoy our time fixing a few slow meals in the cabin, getting out on the lake, watching the stars at night, and checking out a few nearby spots, like the county fair (that just happened to be perfectly timed with our trip) and bars/restaurants. Really beautiful land up by Northome, and recommend the stay for the area!”

“Stayed at this property for a second time. Everything was in working order outside a few items Frank was made aware of and will be getting fixed for future guests. He was very fast at responding to questions and providing all info on cabin ahead of time. The whole house AC was actually a blessing in disguise as it was very warm and muggy to start the trip off. We were able to launch boats right at cabin which is nice and convenient. The ice maker on fridge was able to keep up all week with all……

“The property was well maintained and easy to use for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with the needed pots/pans/dishes/utensils. We really enjoyed the fireplace. The listing wasn’t completely clear that the property was a part of a larger condo building with other guests staying right next door and there were a lot of flies and beetles on the floors and walls. ”

“We had a wonderful extended stay at this property with our group. Fishing was fantastic, the level lot was great for going out on the ice. Winter campfire was perfect to sit by and take in the lake views. Nice kitchen for cooking and prepping in. Christmas tree was a perfect touch. We will be back. ”

“The lake is legit, the chonkiest walleyes! Something to note, which wasn’t on the listing: there is no garbage service provided at this cabin. we stayed for 2 weeks, and it was a real hassle, especially because there is a garbage company that services the area. there are no places in town to drop off a bag full of trash. the kitchen is well-appointed, and the toilet paper isn’t one-ply :)”
