This review has nothing to do with a poor experience with the lodging just an honest review of what to expect if you choose to book this unit. The owner had great communication and quick in responses. The unit is NOT ski in/out. It is at least a 200 yard walk (through an uneven parking lot) to the main lift. Anyone who has skied with kids knows that you do a lot of schlepping of gear and when you book something listed as ski in/out the expectation is you walk out the door and drop your skis on a run ready to go. The unit itself is clean and comfortable enough but very dated. While the major appliances have been updated (however the dishwasher is very loud) the remainder of the unit has furnishings that could be updated. The mattress in the master is very soft with a canyon that has developed in the middle causing the occupants to roll towards each other, my kids did say their mattresses were comfortable and we did appreciate the queen over queen bunk giving kids in the secondary bedroom plenty of space. The building is antiquated. You will hear all your neighbors. The public hot tub was inoperative during our stay (which wasn't a problem for us and the owner offered to make other arrangements) but it did not look particularly clean or appealing. The wifi is not an individual connection but a connection to the resorts free wifi which makes you question the security. I will choose an upgrade for my next stay at Purgatory.
