Just a heads up that this B&B is actually a 25 minute drive outside of Durango. That was definitely an unexpected wrinkle in our plans. They don’t serve breakfast until 8am, and if you are riding the Durango to Silverton Railroad, you have to be AT the train station by 8:30, and that’s after you drive 25 minutes to get there, wait 5-10 minutes in line to get into their all day parking lot, and then walk to the station. That issue caused us to have to skip breakfast altogether. Bummed for sure. Aside from that, the staff was super friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the stay. The only critiques for the room were:
1. The TV was really small and didn’t receive any major network stations.
2. The light above the bathroom vanity was quite dim, although I’ve been told I’m much more attractive in the dark, so maybe the dim lighting was a blessing?!
3. It took 90 seconds or more to get hot water at the shower and/or the bathroom sink.
