The rooms had been updated, but otherwise this was a weak example of the trend to contactless lodging. Basic information about the room and facilities could only be accessed after check-in through a password secured website. The television was inoperable. (A lengthy explanation in the restricted access FAQ implied that it was my fault that the television wouldn't function, but actually they just didn't provide the remote and the the TV itself had no manual controls.) Any requests for assistance were channeled to an AI bot.
I don't mind, and in some cases have actually enjoyed, the contactless hotel experience. But in this case it was very poorly executed.
