“My family booked the cabin for a short, 3-day rest and each day was so full. Packed with coffee in the hot tub, listening to the creek, short or long (depending on mood) walks up the stream while my husband and son fished for native trout. Enjoying meals on the grill, a roaring fire in the pit just outside and movie nights outside on the covered porch with our bodies telling when to sleep and wake. A true gem at the end of the road where life slows to let you savor! Blessed to have visited……

“My mom, SIL, and I took a much needed three day weekend away to visit the Maple Festival and spend some girl time together. The Cabin at Back Creek is the perfect spot to do that. The proximity to the sites of the festival is perfect; we didn’t feel like we were in the car too long and the views along the drive are amazing. The Cabin is perfectly situated on the creek to enjoy the sounds of water and birds while relaxing on the porch or in the hot tub. Highly recommend a visit if you want to get……

“Cold . Rain. Muddy. Cabin warm. Clean. No towels for showers. One kitchen towel. Well water had a bad odor. I guess that’s to be expected . Overall a good place to stay if I go back to the area. ”

“Really great time. Our goal was to do nothing in the middle of nowhere and we did just that. The location is secluded and remote. Cell service is sketchy. Tv did not have streaming ability or the ability to mirror from your phone so if you want to watch movies being dvd’s. I wanted to read anyway. The hot tub was great. Perfect actually. Stargazing was exceptional. Couldn’t have been more quiet. If you’re looking for a secluded getaway in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, this is the place……

The cabin is located near the base of Spruce Mountain and Spruce Knob is just a relatively short drive away. “We came up from Charleston to get away for the weekend. Really enjoyed the size and remoteness of the cabin and the readiness of the fire pit and grill. The firewood for sale just up the hill was really nice too. ”

“This was perfect for our multi generation ski weekend. My family was very happy and impressed with everything Alison’s property had to offer. The game room/tv lounge was a big hit.
