I stayed at Radisson Blu Durham expecting a special, premium experience, but was left disappointed. The bed was uncomfortable, and while mattress toppers are available, I was first told they weren’t — only to later find out otherwise.
Parking is expensive, and although staff mentioned other options, they gave little to no useful information. Front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming, which set the tone for the entire stay.
The biggest letdown was the health spa — the main reason I booked this hotel. The weekend hours had changed, but this was not posted anywhere. I was told this info would’ve been in a welcome letter, but they’d run out and didn’t give me one.
Overall, I felt dismissed and undervalued. I wasted my money on what was supposed to be a special experience. I won’t be staying at another Radisson and hope this serves as a warning to others.
