“We had a nice stay at General Stanton. It’s a very cool old Inn with lots of character and was very clean. We checked in after hours so did not interact with any staff except over the phone but the remote check in process was still easy and we had no issues. Was a convenient and affordable stay for a concert in Matunuck.”

“The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The property itself is right on the beach, which itself is beautiful and has a remarkable shoreline. In addition, the inn is near some great restaurants on the beach and in nearby towns. I have been going here for years and often see the same people. It is an inn that you will want to book summer after summer.”
“Great location. Friendly staff. Walkable to shops and dining. Private beach with bar. Rooms were clean, updated. Comfortable beds. Just a few minor issues for me, no in room coffee maker, low shower water pressure and no blackout shades. Would stay here again. ”

“I’ve been coming back for years. Very affordable, friendly, accommodating, family run business. Close to the Rhode Island beaches, Mystic aquarium, and many other things to do in the area. Clean, comfortable beds, and several dining options close by. ”
“It was a lovely 250 year old stagecoach inn. Our room was on the front next to a road intersection and I am a light sleeper. That being said next time we need to stay in the area i will make sure to have a room on the back over looking the river. Since I am a very light sleeper.
The Inn is very easy to get to and easy acess to most of RI since it is centrally located. Making it a perfect place to stay and see the sights.”
