“Spent the weekend for our yearly fantasy football trip and had an excellent experience!”

“This was an incredible stay for my family and I. Perfect in every way - I highly recommend it!Sammie has considered everything for a relaxing stay at the lake. We had prompt and positive communications with our host. It is charming, quaint, quiet, beautiful, clean and peaceful. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need. The kayaks are a great addition and so fun to paddle around the bay. The bunkhouse and fire pit are lovely. We will be back! ”

“This place was beautiful! We will definitely be back!! We stayed in the octagon and had an amazing time. The owners were great to work with. We ran into bad weather on our way up there and communicated that to them and they arranged a way for us to get the key. Will be back!! Def for a longer stay!”

“We had a blast at the cabin! The location was awesome. It was super quiet. We took full advantage of the Lily Pad, and had a lot of fun on the pontoon. We spotted swans, loons, and 2 eagles right outside the windows of the cabin. We highly recommend two restaurants, McGregor Baking Company for delicious treats and sandwiches/salads, and The Craft House for anything on the menu. There were plenty of games and books for young kids, and paper/markers for creating artworks.”

“Clean, organized, comfortable and very well thought out. Opened up the door and noticed how clean it looked and smelled, even in the garage. From the comfort of the queen beds, convenience of the two bathrooms, the thoughtfulness of having electrical box down by the dock to charge the batteries, this place exceeded all my expectations. The kitchen was well stocked with two different coffee maker options, toaster, air fryer, gas grill and good cookware. The TV and wifi was a nice option after……

“We had an amazing experience renting the tree lodge at the Shire in the Woods. Michael was very helpful and easy to communicate with. They took Covid precautions and the cabin was exceptionally clean. We had an amazing time, saw a baby black bear alongside the road and a lot of wildlife. We had fun making a bonfire and grilling outside and listening to all the sounds of nature. We are already planning our next trip back.”

“We really enjoyed the cabin. After the kids shock that there was no tv, we got the chance to do puzzles, play board games, read books and spend a lot of time fishing on the dock. The house is very quiet and large enough for everyone to enjoy themselves. It was a little cold the first day we were there but then warmed up and we got to enjoy all the lake toys. ”

“We had the BEST week in McGregor! Very cute cabin in a great, quiet location. Janet and Jeff were wonderful hosts!! The cabin had everything we could have ever needed - indoor and outdoor games, firewood, s’mores sticks, dog towels, and more! Plus the availability of the pontoon was the icing on top! Highly recommend - we’re hoping to be back next year!”
