Fully furnished cottage! A great way to experience Tawas Bay right on the water with sailing, kite boarding, fishing and beautiful sunsets! There is Full service Marina right next door with Jet Ski, Pontoon, and Kayak rentals! All resort renters receive 10% off watercraft rentals at the Marina after booking! Also offered is a Kiteboarding shop also next door offering rentals and lessons!

White House Beach Access:

The White House Cabin can be seen in the yellow circled area on the map image attached in Photos. This cabin has access to both of our red starred beaches, the blue circle indicates our other cabin locations. Please note that a portion of the black shaded area, although sandy and leading to the beach, is occupied currently by some docks and large equipment from the neighboring Marina.

Please review our rental agreement when booking for all the information for booking.

Refundable Damage/Cleaning Security deposit will be refunded after departure as long as guidelines in our rental agreement are followed.

* Please note this cabin allows a maximum of 2 dogs. The Pet fee when pet is selected charges for only 1 pet. Please let us know if you will be bringing more than one pet, up to 2 pets is allowed for a $15.00 fee/pet/night. This extra fee will be added upon request before or after booking.

PARKING:
- 3 parking spots
- Please contact us if you plan to have more vehicles to discuss extra vehicle parking
- Please ensure that your vehicle(s) are parked at the cabin you are staying at, and be kind to not park in front of another cabin's view of the beach/water if possible.
- REMEMBER: Our Cabins are on the beach, and some areas of our lot are sandy and can sometimes make it difficult for small or lower cars to park in some locations. If you have any concerns or difficulty upon arrival, please contact us for assistance.

VRBO CANCELLATION POLICY: (will be honored for all VRBO Bookings)

BOOKINGS - DAY AFTER LABOR DAY, UP TO AND INCLUDING FATHER'S DAY:

Refunds (less a $25 cancellation fee per cabin) are only able to be issued in the case that the cabin can be rebooked for the duration of your cancelled reservation.
You will be held financially responsible for 100% of your reservation if you cancel at any time.

House was nice. Good bathrooms. We wish the king sized bed was in one of the first floor bedrooms. We loved being that close to the park! The dog friendly beach was a bonus.

This is one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at! It was great for our large group and had everything we needed. We could walk out of the front door and go fishing and swimming whenever the kiddos wanted. Overall just a really great place!

Nice House Inside, Tons of Room
The inside of the house was nice with plenty of room for me and my three adult children to spread out and we enjoyed our stay.....inside! However the outside of the house was less than desirable. The shrubs were overgrown over the side porch and on the lake side obscuring the view of the lake from the deck. We were very conscientious about picking up after our dog, however, the backyard was covered with goose droppings. Although we had hoped to enjoy time at the beach, unfortunately (or fortunately) the weather didn't cooperate. We were forewarned about the marina equipment occupying part of the sandy path to the beach but we were surprised to see big tractors on the beach and directly in front of the house working on the rickety dock. I chose this house for the "serene lakefront" location but it felt a bit like we in a construction site. Needless to say we spend most of our time in the house or in town, but overall we enjoyed our time inside the very comfortable house. I'm sure when the marina construction is done and the yard is given some TLC it will be beautiful!

Nice Stay
We had a wonderful visit to East Tawas. The physical location of this house is great - walkable to Tawas Point Park and a quick drive into town. The VRBO property's yard was unkept; the shrubs were overcrowding the front porch and the grass that you had to walk thru to get to the lakeside entrance was quite tall. As stated in the listing, this propery is nextdoor to a marina, but it appears to share the property with the marina - there was a lot of marina equipment in piles on both sides of the property. Once you get past all that tho, the view of the bay is quite beautiful and we did get a huge flock of geese each night that came to visit the yard, which was incredible to watch. Inside the house is clean, and cared for. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels provided, and the kitchen supplies were adequate. There were no food staples - salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc at the property, and the outdoor grill grates were pretty rusty looking, so plan accordingly if you will be cooking. Overall a nice stay.

Nice stay near Tawas point state park
Great sized house for our group of 6 and suited our needs of being close to tawas state park for the birding very well! I gave 4 stars on check in and communication because we had a hard time getting into the house and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone for some time but once we got in, was all smooth sailing!

Beautiful sunsets
Lovely cabin that roomily fit all eight adults. We used the small dining table for a jigsaw puzzle area and all ate at the larger dining room table. Location is walkable to the state park and lighthouse. We rented kayaks from the marine shop next door. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Kitchen has dishes and most basics but could use a baking sheet or two. We brought our own crockpot. We had a great stay.

Charming interior
This house is exactly what we needed for a nice winter weekend getaway. Thinking about renting this house during the summer. There is a lot more square footage in this house than I expected. Very spacious. Seems like it would be a great house to use with a boat during the summer time.

Everything you need for a fantastic vacation
This property met all of our needs for our family vacation! The property was well maintained and clean. Everything we needed to prepare meals was available. There was adequate lawn space for games and the beach area was really nice. The location is ideal, close to downtown but also great for walks to the lighthouse!! We will definitely be back!!

Girls weekend in East Tawas
We love the spaciousness of the house. There is plenty of room for those that want to watch movies, playing games, puzzles, and a big dining room table. The weather was too cold to be outside but there’s a deck and two picnic tables, that we hope to take advantage of next year. We will go a little bit later in the year. The only downside is the marina is on both sides of the house. But it is not overly loud while we were there. It’s very convenient for those who would like to rent a pontoon or JetSki’s.

Family Get Away
The GPS took us to the wrong address but we were able to find it with the map. Everything worked out as the instruction outlined. The 4 BR 3 Ba home was perfect for our group. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The Smart TV allowed us to sign in and stream our choice of movies. Lots of table space to gather for meals and a wonderful view of the bay from the back room. Our Family Thanksgiving get away workeded out great.

Relaxing Getaway
I rented this house with my husband, sister, and parents for a long weekend getaway. It was a perfect house to rent for us and we were all pleased with the accommodations. The house was clean and organized. The Kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs, there was plenty of space to eat and relax both in and outside. The bedrooms were set up nice and had lots of room. The beds were comfortable and a great touch is a fuzzy/comfort blanket at the bottom of each bed. It is in an unusual location being on the marina property, but we had plenty of privacy. We will be back.

Great house
Me and my family and close friends had a great stay here. House very open and comfortable with many bedrooms, 2 dining rooms, and 2 living rooms. Only problem with the house was the lack of supplies provided. We had to use our own cleaning supplies, extra paper towels, and toilet paper. But there were many extra sheets, towels, and cooking supplies provided. The yard was large with a great firepit, lots of outdoor seating, and a propane grill with propane provided. Downside outside was the leeches we were told were in the water by the beach, and the many rusty nails found in the sand by the beach.

Cabin rental
Outside is unkept as far as lawn and surroundings. The cabin is next to Jerry’s Marina. On the other side is a lot of equipment/supplies. There was a pontoon and trailer in the driveway when we arrived. The front of cabin facing the lake is not attractive compared to what the pictures shows. There is a small pond in front of the beach, I think that is what it is. You need to walk around that to get to the beach. Our check-in was 3 pm but when we got there it wasn’t ready. They were hanging curtains. We were able to check in at 3:30. I was disappointed because I had booked last year and paid in full so it wasn’t a last minute rental. The deck is old but a good size so we sat outside some. The inside is spacious, furniture was comfortable, and beds were comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms was very appreciated but we were surprised that none of them were upstairs! We loved having 2 tables so we could have one just for puzzles and games. Owner always answered my emails promptly. Since my group of friends enjoy indoor activities they loved the cabin and we would book again.

Spacious house nestled in the Tawas Bay
We truly enjoyed our stay at the house and everything was prepared how we would have expected. The owner, Terri, was extremely helpful and very prompt with responses before, during, and after our stay. A surprise was how spacious the house was! The layout was fantastic and we joked about how it felt like we were discovering new bathrooms at every turn. The beds were comfortable and so were the couches! In fact, i would like to know where they were purchased! In addition, there was a roku tv which my teenager enjoyed before going to bed each night. We also loved that it was within walking distance to the state park and we definitely enjoyed that adventure! The house itself is located in a secluded place and was very quiet which allowed us to hear the waves in the bay and at times, from Lake Huron. My only concern would be about how many boats typically dock at the marina, especially during high season. That might hinder the view of the bay, or, it could be beautiful to see the boats in the background. We would definitely love to stay here again and my daughter was already begging us to rent it next year for her 16th birthday! We had a wonderful time and hope the next guests did as well.
