“We only had 3 days to visit the area. Our stay was very comfortable and convenient to Bar Harbor. We could walk the mile to town. Which was easier than trying to park dow there! Close to the entry to Acadia. Also appreciated the breakfast delivered to the room each morning. Everyone we ran across was very friendly.”

“We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. “The cabin was very nice. It was off the road, so no road noise. It was esthetically nice as a well-built traditional carpentry pine cabin throughout. Well equipped kitchen. Nice screened in porch. Very clean. I would return if going back to Arcadia. It is a little ways to Bar Harbor and southern end of the island but well located to other hiking. We loved it. ”

The distance to Acadia was a bit longer than we expected -- only 25 miles or so but this translated to 45 mins to an hour - depending on the time of day. ”

“This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. Barring a few check-in inconveniences, it was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the firepit that we spent time at after a long Acadia Park hiking adventure.”
