“Had a mistake with the online booking this is a thing that we find can happen via a portal like hotels.com and has happened to us on a few occasions . The staff here were brilliant though couldn’t help the first night went over and above to ensure the second was in a suitable room we had booked with balcony and sea view ”
“The area is generally noisy however it was not too bad. The only thing I did not like was that I came back and found a mat placed on my bag after they cleaned our room. ”
“My family was excited to spend the new year's weekend in east London as we were staying in a rural area just outside.
The staff were fantastic and we felt safe and comfortable.
Our only regret is the pool needed attention from the time we arrived and never got any up until we left. The pool was one of the draws and it was a bit too far gone for us to even clean with the basket ourselves (which we would have gladly done.)
I loved though the space we had and the little braai area and kitchen.……
“The place was very congested with lots of people in the reception area..poor security, no direction to reception area,no direction to rooms as some rooms are being renovated..”
“This property is on a quiet street and our rooms were lovely and clean. The owner is very engaging and caring. I was a bit apprehensive coming to South Africa, but “Lord Flanegan” as I call him made us feel welcome and safe. He is very helpful and generous with his time. Oh and the breakfast. Thx Stewart. “This was my first time staying at Hillcrest and it was so lovely! The owner and her staff were extremely welcoming, the room was comfortable, breakfast was fantastic. The location is convenience to restaurants, a mall, and the beach. I will definitely be back!”
