This modern island cabin is perched on high bank waterfront and is ideal for a small family or couple to enjoy. The home is within walking distance to the amenities of Rosario Resort, which include dining, pool, outdoor space, kayak tours, whale watching, and trail access to Moran State Park. The large deck has a table and chairs to help you complete your grilling festivities during those beautiful island days. After moving inside you will first notice floor to ceiling windows that showcase areal views of the waters of East Sound. An open living room is complete with propane fireplace and flat screen TV. The TV is connected to streaming Direct TV and has Netflix, Hulu and HBO ready for use. The opposite side of the great room is a dining room table with four comfortable chairs. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to create your island meals.

As you enter the master bedroom you will first notice the copper ceiling panels which frame in a skylight that is above a king size bed. What a beautiful spot to star gaze! The shared hall bath features a tub shower combo. The low loft area is perfect for kids to enjoy. There are two single beds on a soft carpeted floor. Before you enter the half, loft area there is a sitting room with love seat couch that is great for reading. The love seat can be pulled out to make a third single bed. Throughout the home you will notice stunning local island art and furniture.

The home faces the west and with the high bank waterfront and large deck you are sure to enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets that Orcas island has to offer.

House does not have air conditioning. This home is people friendly, and not pet friendly.

Relaxing Getaway

Very comfortable and well maintained house. Great views of the sound and nature (even a bald eagle hanging out 100 feet away). Loved the location as it was a quick trip to East Sound (great food) and Mt Constitution.

Swift Getaway

This was everything we hoped it would be! The white bedding on the comfortable beds with sane comfortable pillows are amazing! Stick with white! The deck was clean enough to lay on and watch the sky and listen to the birds. A short drive to the market good coffee and even the farmers market soon! Get a tea pot in there, thats my only suggestion.Maybe its there and we are blind. What a sweet, dreamy, cozy spot Thank you!

House was ok - the windows were super dirty though, which was a shame because the view is spectacular. Deck was dirty, covered in pollen and dust, so couldn’t spend much time out there. We were super disappointed in the town as a whole because nothing was open! Restaurants and shops are still closed Mon-Thur, which was when we were there. Assumed that since it was spring break, that more would be open. As a result, we had to have most of our meals at the house. Spent lots of money to just sit and watch Netflix all week! 🙁

Wonderful Peaceful Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful home with a gorgeous waterfront view from both the outdoor deck and indoor family room. A very comfortable and modern home that was very well appointed. The kitchen had all the amenities necessary for cooking meals. The hosts were very helpful and provided excellent communications that helped make it an easy place to find, stay, and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed the natural beauty of Orcas Island, and the tranquility of our accommodation. We hope to return someday soon.

Peaceful PNW Getaway

A well-appointed home with fantastic, beautiful water views. Very close to the Rosario resort and a short drive into Eastsound. Overall you will be impressed at just how quiet and serene your stay will be.

Ocean View - Close to Moran State Park

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this property and its location around the corner from Rosario Resort and Moran State Park. Rosario is a pickup point for Shearwater and Deer Harbor - sea kayaking and whale watching 5 min away! Views from property are spectacular although no beach access. Well equipped kitchen and 15 min from Eastsound grocery stores. We fell in love with Mountain Lake. Wonderful loop trail for walking/running followed by a swim in the lake.

Perfect Vacation Home

We stayed for a week in this lovely vacation cabin overlooking Orcas Sound. It was very quiet here, broken only by the occasional sound of a landing float plane. The cabin is equipped with everything one might need - from the kitchen to the bathroom and bedrooms. The wi-fi and TV systems worked flawlessly. The deck is very spacious and the views spectacular. We even had an occasional visit from an unafraid forked horn buck, still in full velvet - beautiful. The cabin is within easy reach of anywhere on the island and we explored it from end to end. Really nice hiking trails at Obstruction Pass State Park. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the island.

Peaceful Home with Beautiful Waterfront Views

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect location for relaxing, enjoying the scenery, and bird watching. Very convenient location in close proximity to Moran State Park, the Rosario resort, and Eastsound. Beautiful home!

We loved staying at this house near Rosario Resort and Eastsound. The home was beautifully designed with gorgeous water views, clean and well equipped. King size bed was firm and comfortable with nice linens, very nice towels in bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Magical Stay

Island Myth is a beautiful, cozy place. The views are amazing, and we sat by the fire, looking out the windows much of the time on our stay. We truly relaxed there. We had everything we needed, with a fully stocked kitchen, and the beds were so comfortable. We walked down to Rosario, and loved that we were so close to Moran State Park! Highly recommend!!!!

We had an amazing time on the island for a long weekend! The property is beautiful, well maintained and equipped. Close to downtown area (eastsound) and to Moran state park. The view from the deck and from inside the house is unbelievable, so spend time soaking it in!

Delicious. Scrumptious. Cozy

Our first morning greeted us with a pink/rosy dawn tinging a glorious, indeed enviable view of the water as we drank our first cup of coffee, with a warm fire keeping us snug. A short drive to ‘the town of East Sound or Rosario Resort occasionally beckoned, affording us quality coffee or cocktails as desired. But really, why leave this comfortable and well appointed home once you have enough food and beverages at your disposal?

Wonderful stay in Rosario

Beautifully situated home with windows and deck facing the sound. Sunsets were spectacular! Very well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Close to Cascade Lake for your morning wake up swims!

Large Deck with views of the water

The best part of the property is the deck. We loved the views of the water watched numerous boats, sea planes and birds. Large Lot with deer and birds visiting often. The house is comfortable with one king bed and two single beds in the nook above the garage more for kids than adults. You can walk down to Rosario harbor and the resort in a few minutes. About a 15 minute drive into Eastsound downtown area.

Second two week visit

Our 2 weeks this July was our second stay at Island Myth. Obviously we enjoy it very much. Great location – quiet but near enough to many activities, restaurants, Eastsound, etc. Great for a couple. Or for parents with small children – the smaller bedroom is a loft. A place for real relaxation, or as a base for Orcas daytime adventures all over the island. Would rent again for sure.

Unbelievable!

I would like to say this property was horrible so it's available the next time we want to go! BUT....it was absolutely perfect! The house is well maintained, the property management was very communicative and the VIEW was unbelievably amazing! Oh and if you are a bird person, the birds were singing and so many different species. I even saw a bald eagle a couple of times one day - oh and a deer in the neighbors yard. If you want to get away in God's creation - this is the place to do it!

Majestic Spot

This house is a dream! Starting with the view, just perfection! Even better than pictures can show. We spent 5 nights there during the last week of June and it was just beyond wonderful! Our family of 4, including our 8 and 10 year old sons. House had everything we needed. Location was perfect. Bed was super comfortable. And we lucked out with spectacular weather. Sitting on that deck with my book and glass of wine every afternoon was heavenly! I cannot say enough to describe how amazing our trip was. We shucked oysters at buck bay, went whale watching with Deer Harbor charters from Rosario, spent the day at Moran State Park, shopped at Orcas Pottery, and explored the quaint town. Then made dinner each night at the house. Absolute perfection! You’d be crazy to not book this spot for your time on Orcas Island.
