Cozy Lakeside cabin on Lake Koshkonong. Great yard for campfires & lawn games, over-sized deck to enjoy sunsets and breathtaking lake views, lake access for swimming, fishing, or kayaking. Close to Madison (30 min), Milwaukee (60 min) & Chicago (2 hrs), 2 bathrooms with 1 large suite featuring a king size bed & two single beds and a couch in the main living area can accommodate up to 5+ guests. Great Cabin

Very poor communication

I did not recive notification of a ceptance of dog and made other arrangement until 48 hour before saty. Reached out and host said he would transfer dates because it was past time for refund. I gave dates that were a cepted and then the next day. It was cancelled I didn't recieve notification that it was cancelled and now I have no cabin and out $600. Include a pet fee, when I didnt wven stay there

Enjoyable lake stay.

This is a nice cabin, it is located on a very heavily wooded lot and has a lot of nature, wildlife. During our stay the squirrels and chipmunks were plentiful and gathering the nuts from the beech trees. The weather was too dry for a fire in the pit. The fire pit table was out of gas. The lower TV was out of service and we needed to buy some TP as very little was in the home upon check-in. Tha cabin was comfortable.

October fishing trip

Nice clean cabin near lake. The fall colors were beautiful. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time we were there, so the fishing was poor. But the cabin was great.

Vacay

This cabin was perfect for me and my significant other while in town visiting family. Although it didn’t state it I was a little bit disappointed we didn’t have direct lake access. The cabin is a wonderful place to stay and we spent time with family just a short distance away. Everything is very accessible as in places to eat and shopping and when I’m back in town I will definitely check the availability again. Had an amazing vacay! 😊

This was a very nice cabin!!

We had a great time. I just didn’t realize the lake access was so far away. We ended up finding a quaint little lake to kayak on. The cabin was updated with a rustic feel. The balcony was great to enjoy coffee and hear the loons in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Kayak fishing

We stayed here to get away and do some kayak fishing. We found the small chain of lakes with clear lake being one of them. Great panfish fishing and caught 2 largemouth bass. I caught a 18 in largemouth bass and was able to net it and get it into the kayak by myself. Great experience. The cottage was great, really liked the log cabin feel without being way up north in Wisconsin. Property manager was fast in replying to messages. Thank you. Internet was slow and sketchy, so night time TV watching was out of the question. We had a great time otherwise.

A weekend with my nursing sisters

A weekend with my nursing sisters was totally enjoyable. Directions to the property were Easy to follow . The cabin was adorable. The inside was well-maintained. Kitchen had beautiful cabinets in it and great appliances all full-size. The beds were very very comfortable. The outside seating area on the upper deck was enjoyable could see the lake really well and it was the weekend of a full moon so watching that moon

Perfect

I came for Ironman and needed a place in the area but quiet. I didn't want a ton of distractions at the house either. This place was perfect. It's in a quiet area but still had stuff to do if you like being outside. There is not a ton of distractions at the house so it really allows you to unplug and relax. I could see myself taking another vacation there.

The Overlook was a great place to begin decompressing at the end of a school year and relaxing to start my summer break. we enjoyed biking, kayaking and hiking in the area.

Lovely But Disappointed

Upon receiving our confirmation of our booking, we were very excited to know that this was going to be our place for a 3 night stay. Unfortunately upon arrival we discovered numerous faults that we feel the need to bring to your attention. The following is a list of issues we encountered during our stay: >The switch for the light above the mirror in the downstairs bathroom was difficult to find and once we did we quickly realized that the switch itself was very erratic in operation and the light would routinely shut off on its own. Also we were very disappointed to find that the shower in the same bathroom was non functioning due to the cold control valve being completely inoperable. Therefore the downstairs shower was not utilized because there was only the availability of hot water. Alternatively, we used the upstairs bathroom to the best of our ability however our physical limitations found the upstairs shower/tub to be extremely difficult to use at best. Additionally the pocket door for the downstairs bathroom was stiff and difficult to open and or close. >We found the washing machine to smell of mold and mildew and we used some bleach that we found on the premises to sanitize it before actual use. >As we are both water drinkers it was exciting to find a filtration system installed at the kitchen sink but we were disappointed to find that the maintenance record was past due and therefore we were uncomfortable utilizing it. >We found one outlet on the side of the master bed to be loose in its mount and one more with a similar issue but I cannot recall where. As a suggestion, we recommend soft white light bulbs throughout the cabin as this would create cozy lighting and also the addition of dimmers for all interior lighting. >Also we found the grill to have leftover food and foil and various utensils belonging to the cabin that were left outside. >Finally, we booked a 3 night 4 day stay and on day 2 we encountered the cleaning staff who reminded us that checkout time was 11 a.m. and made it obvious that she did not expect us to be there. This lovely little cabin has so much potential and we would entertain renting again if these issues were addressed. Jamie was unresponsive when we requested some compensation for our inconveniences.

Disappointing

It's a cute little cabin but needs some updates done. The cold water in the stand up shower did not work. Only scalding hot water, couldn't take a shower. Only 3 large bath towels. Not too many extras throughout. The grass needs to be cut. The grill was left from previous people with foil and bits of chicken pieces on it, gross. Only 1 very small flat screen tv in the bedroom upstairs. You had to turn the volume up to 85 to hear it. The one nice thing was the outside deck off the bedroom. But lots of bugs flying around. Overall won't be coming back.
