“The house was cozy and warm, and lovely and quiet. We had a nice relaxing stay, garden is lovely and delicious homemade cake on arrival. Host was helpful and accomodating, and check in was easy. Nice walks from the cottage. Very close to the border with Wales, went to Powis Castle which is worth a visit. The local area is a bit sparse for shops, would recommend having a car, but Shrewsbury is a lovely historic town closeby, we used the park and ride (15 mins away). Definitely would recommend……

“This was a beautiful place, both the gardens and the actual rental. Rental was an amazing converted barn with a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and a lounge and bathroom upstairs with vaulted ceilings and well equiped modern kitchen. Everything about the rental was first class. Rob greeted us on arival and was always available if needed. We used the rental as a base to visit, Ludlow, Hay-on-wye, severn valley railroad, Croft Castle and Ironbridge. All were easy drives of an hour or……

“Three generations met for a suprise 70h birthday. Chevalier Estate is ideal for this as each family group had their own space but we could get together in the magnificent Dragon Hall. The accomodations are exceptionally well thought out and equipped. "Less IKEA more Sophie Conran" as one daughter observed. The fittings, linens, rugs etc are all very high end and all the properties are spacious with lovely sitting areas and kitchens. The booking process and all communications with Lady Laura……

“Fantastic place this was the 2nd time we stayed here within 6 weeks, at first glance the pods seem close together and not very private, however this is not the case the hot tubs are set back so people walking past dont notice you and the cabins seem to be sound proof. We would definitely recommend and will most likely go again in the near future.”
