Needed a place to stay before a mid morning flight back to the US. This was just a few minutes further away than the usual mid range chain hotels near the airport. We dropped our bags at the hotel and I planned on taking an Uber back from the rental car drop at the airport but they said "we will have our shuttle pick you up". The hotel itself was immaculate and impressively designed/decorated-not at all the "plain" hotel we expected. The room very clean and comfortable, drinks in the lounge top notch, dinner and breakfast fine (the breakfast buffet a bit weak but the others in our party had the full breakfast which was fine). Reasonably priced-all in all the hotel punched well above its weight

The Dakota is modern and clean if a little dark and not terribly convenient for the airport. However, I booked the hotel because it boasted an airport transfers from 6am until 10pm. Unfortunately when I tried to reserve transfers 48 hours in advance as requested for 7:30am, I was informed that the transfers only ran from 10am on the day we needed them. Extremely disappointing!!

This was a lovely hotel and the staff were very helpful and kind. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and most welcome after a long travel day. Our waiter was outstanding in making the perfect Scotch recommendation to enjoy after asking about our preferences. His selection was perfect.

Not knowing the area, I chose this hotel because it had a free shuttle to the airport. It wasn’t available unless I wanted to go 4 hours before my flight, so I had to call a taxi. If I had realized how far from the airport they were, I would’ve chosen a hotel that was closer.

Chose for airport shuttle.Restaurant was slow, limited and pricey. Room was mostly clean, desk area dusty, code for tv didn't work. Hotel interior past the lobby was very dark - apparently designed to fit with industrial theme of decor but found it dark and a little depressing. But for a quick layover enroute to airport it was fine and shuttle driver was super professional and top notch.

The Dakota here in South Queensferry allows for a very convenient stay! It's a very clean and high class hotel with great services and local facilities. The walk down to the town and back is very pleasant and allows for a true experience of the river forth let alone Edinburgh and South Queensferry

Facility was very nice. Are main reason for choosing to stay at this hotel was because it offers an airport shuttle. We were very disappointed that the shuttle service did not operate until 10:30 am. We had to be at the airport by 7am and had to pay 30 pounds for a taxi.

This was our last stop befor heading home. The room was so nice & the bed, super comfy. The staff were very nice & appetizers, yummy. They helped out by picking us up at the train station when we couldn't get a taxi. Also arranged a taxi to the airport. Enjoyed our stay.

Only thing that was inconvenient, there are no electrical outlets close to the bed. I needed to plug in my cpap and had to walk downstairs to ask for an extension cord as no one was answering the phones. Otherwise, the bar service was amazing!
