The people that work there try hard and are very nice. That being said, the building is very old and in need of repairs. The hallways smell musty. Our first room was very hot when we arrived. We turned on the ancient a/c unit and left for 20 mins, came back i
up...still very hot. Went to a show, gone 2 hours with a/c set on high at and temp as low as you could go. We returned and our room was 85 degrees. Called the front desk, waited on hold for a solid 15 minutes and was told housekeeping would be called....20 mins later, nothing. Called down again and stuck on hold for another 10 mins. Hung up and went down to Front desk. At this point we just wanted another room. The lady at the front desk didn't seem surprised about the heat; as if 85 degree rooms with no air were ok.They gave us a new room which was a bit cooler and the a/c had a bit more life to it. It took almost 3 hours for the room to cool down to a more suitable temperature. One would think that at this time of year all rooms would have their a/c units checked. It's a very old building (not at all like the picture on expedia...not even close). Lots of homeless and addicts in the area. They also charge extra for parking. Just fyi, rooms do not have microwaves and fridges, unless you ask. When we switched rooms we had to move the fridge as well. Televisions are also old and small. Overall, not a good experience...will not stay there again! May not stay at a Days Inn again.
