Very welcome from the start we came in at the reception. Nice excursion offert. The only thing that can be better is the service at the breakfast. A lot of things weren't filled. We saw the staff with 3 persons sitting and having their own food. When asked for what we missed, the faced looked bored and only stood up like a minute later. It wassen't that late during breakfast so is wasn't the end off breakfast yet. My advise would be to look constantly what is missing at the breakfast buffet so guests don't miss anything.

As a solo female hiker, I spent 3 nights at Hotel del Glaciar Libertador and felt like I got value for money as far as convenience and location. When I first got there, it was peak summer season and I was very worried at check in when the printout of hotel guests with reservations did not include my name.I had just flown over 40 hours from Malaysia and didn't have backup plans! Luckily the receptionist sorted me out, citing a system error between Expedia and the local hotel booking system (I hope they have resolved this!) and luckily there was a room available for me. I still give them 5 stars because they sorted it out quickly and I had all the convenience I needed. The buffet breakfast was a delivious toast and fruits every morning, simple but hearty. All my tour companies (Hielo y Aventura and Solo Patagonia) had no problem picking me up in the mornings because it's a very recognizable hotel in a central location. My room was very spacious and clean, and well equipped with the amenities I needed to relax after strenous hikes everyday. It's also walking distance (about 5-10 minutes) of the city center where all the shops and dining is. There is a convenient grocery store next door for simple snacks. Although this hotel has many backpackers (I think) I got a lot of privacy in my room and it was very safe and quiet for me.

I think this is a great place to stay if you plan to be exploring most of the day. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are simple - no frills but sufficient for a good stay. Note - the bed is slightly on the hard side. The breakfast selection is rather sparse. It’s a pleasant location and makes for a good walk to the downtown strip. An excellent value.

This hotel was in a good location, a short walk to the main part of town in El Calafate. The staff were helpful and kind. We were three people in a room. The space felt a bit tight, but we were only in town for two nights. We took advantage of their excursion offering and were so happy with the service. Breakfast was great in a nice cabin like hotel space.

Front desk reception was extremely unhelpful. My trip took 12 hours longer than expected. I arrived at 9:28am after missing the night in the hotel. Breakfast normally ended at 9:30am. Even though I was 2 minutes before the deadline, I was told I could not get breakfast, even after my delayed travel experience. The lady in the kitchen was going to make me eggs, but the receptionist went out of her way to cancel the order. Generally, the receptionist seemed to enjoy exercising 'petty' power.
