Just a different “little” experience for a one night stay near the Hawthorne neighborhood in Portland. Lots of cute little PROs and not too many CONs. PROs; Our tiny digs (Merlot) was clean, cute, very comfortable. You’re in a locked, fully fenced, secure lot in case you’re worried about that. Tons of great restaurants around in walking distance. We ran into the grounds/house keeper……

“One night of my stay was open mic night at the event space on ground. Very noisy until pretty late. This hotel is an interesting historical rehab. I was told it had been open about 3 years and had last been used at the turn of the 20th century. I like the preservation of the feel of the place although it was located in a somewhat rundown area. Portland’s Pearl Distruct and downtown are very walkable though and I never felt unsafe. ”
