“Perfect size for 2. Nicely decorated with one major flaw: linoleum on bathroom floor buckles and is dingy. While we were out and about enjoying our final day of vacation - early in the day - the owner sent us a laundry list (multiple times) of things we needed to clean and accomplish at the house - with a $50 additional threat fee if we didnt get each item completed. Tell me - why do we pay a cleaning fee????”

“Perfect property for 2 people. This property is a short walk to town and located in the historic district. Sweet host and met us with a plate of cookies. Cute cottage, very clean, comfortable mattress…which is important after a long day of walking! The first day we walked into town and visited shops and restaurants. The second day we took a tour and went to places outside of downtown. Hilltop Guesthouse is the perfect location for your stay in Laurel. You won’t be disappointed and we plan……

“This property itself is very nice, a cute upstairs apartment. The neighborhood overall is fine, in the "historic district', fun to walk around and see the homes. The alley behind the property, and also one home behind this property, are rather unkempt/messy; I understand that this isn't something the hostess can really remedy. It feels to be a safe neighborhood and my husband and I enjoyed our stay. Brief walk, just a few blocks, into downtown for dining and shopping. ”
