We had great Irish weather - sunny some days, windy and rainy others. The School House was like a safe harbor. “I was captivated by the photos and the description of this property when I was looking for a quiet country spot for us to return to the Wild Atlantic Coast for my Christmas-Birthday. It is actually the only one I reviewed…you had me at hello! Though rustic, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The setting is gorgeous and we enjoyed interacting with the sheep, working dogs, and neighbors as we took long strolls down the very narrow lane. The proprietor was friendly and……

“The view from the couch is awesome. Paddy Keane the owner was a nice gentleman and I enjoyed conversing with him. Cottage is comfy but if you are looking for local action, it may be too isolated for you. We loved it& didn’t mind the drive to Clifden, about 20 km. Carna was closer but much smaller but had a pub & pizza.”
