This elegant stone house enjoys fabulous views over Ballinskelligs Bay. You'll find this a totally relaxing base for your holiday. This modern property has three large bedrooms, one bathroom and one en-suite. A large stone fireplace dominates the spacious living room with an electric stove. A modern fully equipped kitchen and relaxing dining area also offer panoramic views. Sit in the warm sunroom and enjoy stunning views. Set in a fully enclosed large garden, this charming cottage offers peace and tranquillity and a place to relax. Tastefully decorated throughout. Reenroe beach is only 5 minutes walk from the property down a quiet lane and is very popular for swimming, walking, windsurfing, fishing (bass) and a surf school is located here during the summer months. The Kerry Way passes close to the house, and walkers and birdwatchers will love this location. Nearby Waterville has a world famous golf course, and the Ring of Kerry with its stunning scenery is sure to impress. Free WiFi provided. Oil central heating and electricity extra by meter reading on arrival and prior to departure.


Beaches and Activities: Location, location, location! This beautiful stone fronted property enjoys an envious position overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay. 5 minutes walking distance down a quiet lane leads to Reenroe Beach which boasts one mile of unspoilt sandy beach. This property has everything you could wish for in a relaxing base for your holiday. It has peace and tranquillity, fully enclosed large garden, panoramic views of Waterville Beach to the East, Reenroe Beach directly in front and Scarriff Island, Hogs Head and Horse Island westwards. Reenroe Beach offers walking, running, swimming, surfing, horse riding, fishing. Sea angling boat trips can be arranged locally.

Walking, Hill Walking, Cycling: There are many local walks and cycle routes . Bikes can be rented in the nearby town of Cahersiveen. Walks up Bolus Head ( to Bolus Tower), Bray Tower in Valentia, Geokaun Mountain (Valentia) offer breathtaking views over South Kerry and the Sceilig Rocks. Visit Cill Rialaig Famine Village and Artists Retreat and also the Cill Rialaig Art Gallery and Cafe in Dungeagan Village. Information on all these is available in the house and at local tourist offices in Cahersiveen and Waterville.

Eating Out & Area Attractions: Trip to the Skellig Rock is a must and most holiday makers say it is the highlight of their holiday. Boats leave Portmagee and Ballinskelligs daily weather permitting. Valentia Island offers a Slate Quarry, Grotto, Light House, Geokaun Mountain & Fogher Cliffs Viewing Point, Candle making. Watersports for children in Knightstown during summer months include water trampoline, kayaking, fishing, orienteering. There are many archaeological sites in the area including Staigue Fort, Caherdaniel, Leacanabuile, Cahergeal forts. An information book is provided by the owner for all local attractions and restaurants. Local seafood is a speciality in most local restaurants.

Ein perfekter Rückzugsort für alle, die dem Stadttrubel entfliehen möchten! Das Ferienhaus bietet alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt benötigt. Der moderne elektrische Kamin war eine positive Überraschung - er schafft eine behagliche Atmosphäre, ohne dass man sich um Holznachlegen oder Rauch kümmern muss.Die Lage ist ideal, um die vielfältige Region Kerry zu erkunden. Wer plant, die berühmten Skellig Islands zu besuchen, sollte allerdings die Fährzeiten beachten, da diese saisonal begrenzt sind. Ein besonderes Highlight war die mobile Sauna, die man am nahegelegenen Strand buchen kann - definitiv ein einzigartiges Erlebnis!Die Ausstattung des Hauses lässt keine Wünsche offen, und bietet allen Komfort, den man im Urlaub braucht. Lediglich die Küchenutensilien sind sehr basic. Die Umgebung lädt zu ausgiebigen Erkundungstouren ein, auch wenn in der Nachsaison einige Attraktionen geschlossen haben.Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die Ruhe, Natur und irische Gastfreundschaft suchen. Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt in einem der schönsten Teile Irlands.

Great location, quiet and private.

Good property for family with little ones. Owner’s dog comes to visit regularly. Easy walk to beach. Waterville is closest town and has everything you could need. Reenroe Cliffs walk was nice. But, it needs more charming touches. More towels, pillows and blankets. More paintings on the walls and a few throw blankets on the couches. Needs some minor maintenance in the bathrooms. Loose sink faucet in hall bath and ceiling in on suite bath. Boiler is either on or off. We cooked the first night until we could judge it. But overall a good property.

The stay was wonderful. Wish we had more time here. Beach is so close but we didn’t have time to enjoy it. The skies were clear but the moon was so bright, didn’t get to see the dark sky. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Our host was quick on responding to my questions. Thank you for having us.

Christmas family getaway

Fantastic property! Lovely hosts and beautiful scenery. We brought our 3 young boys here for Christmas. For a cottage, it was very spacious with plenty of room for them to run around indoors ad the weather wasn't great. Short stroll down to a beach and playground in the beautiful Ballinskelligs only a 5 minute drive away. The views from the porch are stunning. I would love to come back here in the summer!

Sea Breeze is Perfect

Our stay at Sea Breeze was wonderful. The owners - Noreen and Brendan were great to work with and went out of their way to be helpful. The short walk to Reenroe Beach was so nice and the beach itself is beautiful as it overlooks Skelligs bay and Waterville. Ruim huis op gunstige locatie voor actieve vakantie

Het gastenboek van Sea Breeze Cottage bevat glorieuze en juichende beoordelingen. Mensen hebben er geweldige vakanties. Helemaal wáár. Wij ook. Het huis is populair en zeer vaak verhuurd. Eigenaar Noreen is vriendelijk en een ervaren gastvrouw. Veel reviews beschrijven een stukje beleving, het gevoel, de ontroering van het landschap , maar over de kwaliteit van het huis zegt vrijwel niemand iets. Daar valt met oog voor detail wel wat over te zeggen. Een paar voorbeelden : Het huis is door het gebruik van hout en het gebrek aan zachte materialen een enorme klankkast. Bewegingen klinken enorm door, ook ‘s nachts, zeker ook doordat veel deuren klemmen in de sponningen. Heel irritant met ‘s nachts onnodig lawaai. Badkamer begint gedateerd te raken. Wie er met zes mensen wil verblijven, zal merken dat je vaak de vaatwasser moet draaien, doordat aantallen borden, mokken en bestek ontoereikend zijn. Een beetje fatsoenlijke supermarkt, zit in Cahirseveen, zo’n 11 km verderop. Iets om rekening mee te houden.. De afstand naar het dichtstbijzijnde strand is niet 500 yards, maar ruim 800 m, vooral voor kinderbeentjes een flinke afstand, ook is er nog een behoorlijk hoogteverschil. Minder waar, minder handig, minder veilig (langs een drukke weg), dan de advertentie doet voorkomen. Voor kinderen is er in en rond het huis niets te doen. Het beloofde speelgoed is er eigenlijk niet, puzzles of spellen zijn incompleet of kapot, de tuin rond het huis is op geen enkele manier aantrekkelijk. Er is wel een picknicktafel om aan te eten, maar geen setje van tafel en tuinstoelen om eens lekker met elkaar in de zon te zitten. Voor een vakantiehuisje toch wel een opvallend gemis. Een solide en verplaatsbaar minigoaltje, een basketbalbord aan de muur, een paar hockeysticks, badmintonrackets, ballen, jeu de boules, een opblaaszwembad, zijn even een investering, maar wie in een hoogseizoen rond de €1000 p/w ontvangt, zou voor zoiets gaandeweg kunnen investeren en zorgen dat het netjes en compleet blijft. In warme weken is het huisje redelijk koel te houden. Bij regen en zeker bij stortbuien is dat binnen goed te horen en vooral de witte , verticale regenpijpen zijn luidruchtig. Ze druppelen eindeloos na. De woonkamer en keuken ogen goed en gezellig. Jammer dat er extra bijbetaald moet worden voor electra. Als dat bij normaal gebruik €15 p/w in de zomer is, wat kost dat dan niet in de winter?

Wonderful property with great sea views

We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous cottage. The property was really spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. There were many fantastic local attractions to visit and the stunning Reenroe beach was only a few minutes walk from the cottage. Noreen was lovely to deal with and extremely helpful. Check-in was seamless. We would highly recommend Seabreeze to everyone and we hope to come back again to this beautiful part of Kerry.
