“Apartamento estupendo en prácticamente el centro del Pais Vasco. Ideal para poder moverse entre los diferentes puntos de interés en poco tiempo, no más de una hora. Todo bastante limpio y con todo lo necesario. Muy satisfechos con nuestra estancia.”

“We spent a lovely four nights here. The condo was on an upper floor, with plenty of parking at the side of the building. We used supermarkets in Durango (5-10 min drive away) for groceries. It was easy to drive into Durango and take the train to Bilbao for the day too. The kitchen had the basic things you might need (small oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, but no kettle?) and the shower was pleasingly powerful. The air con was very welcome in the sticky July……

“There were many things we liked. First of all the view of the mountains, which changed many times during the day. Then of course the horses, which announced themselves by the bell of their chief. The horses were fond of pears and came by several times a day, to check if any pears had fallen down from the trees. Some of them even succeeded in shaking the trees, to make the pears fall. Clever animals. Other animals we liked were the four donkeys, a little bit down the road. One of them had such……

“Beautiful house set in lovely gardens with stunning views of the hills and village below. The house was spotlessly clean with all the facilities we needed to make our stay so comfortable. 35 minute drive to Bilbao and just over an hour to San Sebastián and easy access to vineyards in the Rioja region. Mikel is a wonderful host giving us clear directions and getting us back in quickly when we managed to lock ourselves out.We hope to stay here again.”
