I've been coming to Estes Park for 21 years and never had the pleasure of staying at Castle Mountain Lodge, now I can't wait to return after a lovely stay. I was in Castle 1, a motel room on the end of the row. It was perfect, peaceful and so comfortable. The beds were really comfy, lots of pillows and nice quilts. There was a table and chairs, big dresser, microwave and fridge. Unfortunately teb TV was not great, it was stuck on FX and no matter what I did, I was unable to change the channel. No big deal, I wasn't there to watch TV. The bathroom was spacious, lots of towels and great water pressure, always hot water.
I loved the chairs on the porch and enjoyed sitting outside.
The property is beautiful and it was wonderful to be able to sit by the river and enjoy an evening fire, a walk around and just listening to the river.
The office area and library are very comfortable and lots of books and games to enjoy as well as coffee and other hot drinks. There's also a hot tub that can be reserved as well as a coin operated laundry on the property.
I am an older solo female traveler and I felt completely safe at all times on the property. The close proximity to all that Estes Park/RMNP has to offer is a bonus, super easy drive to all the attractions, shops and restaurants.
