THE GOOD: 1. Betsy is a great host, and she was very helpful and accommodating. 2. The cabin is charming and cozy and quaint. It's obvious a lot of work has gone into it to renovate/modernize it. 3. The beds were of high quality and very comfortable. 4. The location is perfect - close to all the Eureka attractions but not too close. THE NOT SO GOOD: 1. The stairway to the loft is dangerous. My son is 6' and hit his head twice. There should be a some kind of caution sign on the ceiling above the stairway. 2. This cabin has no central AC and the insulation is either minimal or non existent. In hot weather, the heat radiates through the walls making it impossible for the AC floor units to cool the cabin. It was uncomfortably hot in the cabin until the middle of the night. The bathrooms have no HVAC at all and are hot and uncomfortable. Those who are not sensitive to temperature and are used to more of a...camping experience would not mind the heat. Anyone else should find different accommodations during the summer months.
