We stay one night at Aorangi Motel after the first-day drive in NZ. The next morning, the staff of Aorangi found out one of our car tyre was flat. We were so shocked! It was just the begining of the trip! Fortunately, the staff who found the flat tyre saved us. She not only helped us call the tire shop but also changed the flat tyre to the spare one. She also kindly reminded us the maximal driving speed with a spare tyre. Really really thanks so much. It is so nice of her. Also, the motel is very clean and with large space. It is better than it looks on the website. Highly recommended!

Disappointed
The good point are : outlook of the motel is not bad and the receptionist is really nice. The bad point are : the furniture are old. It takes 40 minute driving to Town of Tekapo. the shower room is a stainless still floor for stand to take shower. The feeling just like I am a fish in the sink. The most bad things is : we stay there two nights. And the check out time is at 10 am. The second days at 10:03am. There are two cleaning ladies shouting and loudly to knock our door for cleaning. Luckily that we are ready. How bad feeling it was.

Motel is easy to be found. Staffs are helpful and nice, giving you warm and safe feeling during my stay.

My fault I never realised Fairlee was so far away from Tekapo. good half an hr drive. Old style motel from the 1970's. Comfy and close to public road.

A great place to stay. Very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Unfortunately the fridge wasnt as cold as needed and the freezer pads didn't freeze overnight.

I was really impressed with the attention to detail. The room was beautifully presented and Erin (the owner) has obviously poured a lot of love into this place. Bravo. I stayed at the motel as a convenient/cost effective alternative to higher price Lake Tekapo accom and was pleased with my choice. Would stay again when visiting Tekapo.

Great retro motel, clean as a whistle, good sized room, parking at door. Our key was in the door on arrival. Five minutes walk into town. Dinning options are very basic on a Monday night. We would have been better off cooking in the units kitchen. Overall a great night.

everything runs like a well oiled Auto Pilot there.. One just have to follow the instructions posted for you at the entrance.. Key was in the door, and I left it as it is.. very clean and properly maintained..
