We arrived at the hotel late evening. Check in was easy, "Oh yes, double room, inland view, breakfast included, room 115", all very efficient. Up to our room, very clean and tidy, dumped the bags and back down to the lounge bar to relax after our 400 mile drive. 10 minutes later a call from reception, was our room ok? Yes, what we'd seen was ok., thank you.
On returning to the room we realised that you had to slide sideways to get between the bed and wall to get into the bed from the other side, ducking under the TV shelf on the way. Opening the curtains in the morning to see that the 'Inland view' was a large frosted/opaque window that you couldn't see through at all, poetic licence in the extreme.
However, the hotel is very quiet and very comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and the beach is only over the road. The room was very clean with an ample supply of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The staff were all excellent, including the receptionist with the sense of humour. Breakfast was great.
We would definitely stay here again, but not in room 115 with the bed shoehorned in. Thank you very much for our stay.
