I was traveling from two hours away for an appointment so I booked this hotel so it would be close to where I needed to go & I made sure to book a dog friendly room since I would have my dog with me. Prior to checking in I got a link to fill out customer info digitally (name, pic of your ID, vehicle info, & cc to put on file for deposit) to make the check in process faster. I did that. But upon arrival, I had to fill that info out again, but then the person running the desk kept trying to run my physical card for the deposit & it kept declining, I knew I had more than enough in my account that it shouldn’t be declining but he insisted it was something on my end & making me feel like I was an inconvenience to him, only for him to realize he wasn’t clicking the right thing. I even double checked that I was getting a dog friendly room because I didn’t want to get charged extra for their error if it wasn’t , but he made it seem like it didn’t matter. Upon finally getting our room key & going to the room we walked into a still dirty room from the previous customer. We had to walk back up to the front, apologize that we couldn’t accept that room due to it being dirty, & wait for him to check another room for us. The 2nd room we got, it was clean. There was a vent in the shower that is a little suspicious, like someone could hide a camera in there & watch you shower kinda weird. The courtyard you could go out to from your room was absolutely trashed.
