“It was a delight, with beautiful Great Pond and inlet close by. The house itself is rustic, spacious and comfortable. Its L.L. Bean history added to the charm. The space heaters were welcome. The location, on a spit of land near the end of a long dirt road, but convenient to the Belgrade Lakes town center, was most enjoyable. We'd definitely recommend it.”

“The view of the lake is beautiful and the loon was perfect, but we did not have drinkable water and for the price of cleaning and using only the Loon it was overpriced for the stay. ”

Driftwood Cottage provides a perfect base for visits to the area with great access to Augusta and Waterville while sitting in the idyllic Belgrade Lakes region.We don’t visit Maine for fancy, we want practical, comfortable, clean and convenient and this house that in spades. We also greatly appreciated the dog-friendliness!Hosts could not……

“My wife and I make a trip up to Maine every fall and I can state this property was one of the nicest we've ever stayed at. First the view: The cottage has an amazing view of the lake, sitting at the kitchen table there is a huge window and it feels like you are right on the water. The road that goes down to the cottage goes over a hill that has an absolutely stunning view of the entire lake and the mountains in the distance. The privacy at the cottage was great. The road the cottage was off……

“Great spot right on quiet East Pond. Cottage is perfect and had everything and more than we needed. Owner was easy to communicate with and very pleasant. Highly recommended rental. ”

“If you are considering this cabin, do not hesitate to book it. It is absolutely beautiful, perfect spot on the lake and still close to many local venues. We enjoyed a beautiful fall weekend and cannot wait to go back. Denise was the most gracious host and made us feel at home. We were able to fish off the dock which is just steps from the front porch. Beautiful sunsets and listening for the loons was a favorite. Wish we could give more than 5 stars! ”

“We spent a beautiful fall weekend at Cedar Estates, the house was clean and very well equipped, as described in the listing. We enjoyed a nice campfire on Saturday night at the fire pit. Our 2 dogs really enjoyed exploring and running outside as well! Clean sheets and towels, hot water - lovely overall!”

“The camp was quaint, great kitchen! Unfortunately there was confusion & communication issues with our host not being notified that we had booked property. We received a refund from the host for the nights we didn't stay due to propane running out. The host had intended to have camp closed up the week we had booked.”

“Hosts Jane and Peter are lovely people and keep their home and property very well maintained. We especially enjoyed amazing sunsets at the lake house and time in the screened in porch. We loved the Mountain Views at Blue Mountain State Park- Center Hill Trail and an overlook along the road nearby. Would highly recommend staying here. ”

Alison and Todd were warm and welcoming from the moment I pulled into the driveway; they even left an assortment of local pastries to enjoy! I stayed at Moon Glo cottage while I searched for a Maine home to call my own and I'm happy to now include Alison and Todd as new friends. This is a wonderful place to stay while you explore all that the area has to offer. Thanks again to my wonderful hosts and new friends!”

“My family and I loved the cabin, it was surrounded by other cabin's, but the neighbors were respectful and kind, happy other renters. The swimming was awesome, we all loved the lake access. The cabin had fun games, the wood appearance throughout was beautiful, We’d stay again next year! ”
