This hotel is perfectly located with many shops, restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions within walking distance. The rooftop restaurant offers an exceptional view of the marina. Breakfast buffet included in the room rate was excellent - many varieties of cold and hot items.
However, the property did not provide any Expedia Gold member perks, aside from the an arrival gift that was listed on my booking.
Furthermore, the room was not ready at 14:35 (check-in time is 14:00) and I was not provided with a room until almost 15:00.
And the most frustrating part is the hotel closed the pool for maintenance which was not disclosed in the booking nor communicated prior to arrival, as the rooftop pool was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel in a beach town like Faro. They didn't even disclosed this at check-in, all guests were only advised via a letter inside our room (spoke with other guests who expressed the same experience and frustration). Asked for compensation from the front desk supervisor but was told no such policy despite he shared the fact it was closed for 3 days prior to my arrival - my reservation cancelation policy is within 48 hours! Very disappointed!
