The Clementine is adorable! It’s so wonderful to see the iconic Highway Inn come back to life and reimagined. I almost hate to write this review, because I’d love to keep it my little secret! The decor is on point for the original time period, but with modern amenities. They’ve covered all the bases, comfortable beds, great lighting, retro mini fridge and microwave, coffee maker with really good coffee & real creamer in the fridge, and more towels that you could ever use!The night I stayed, there was road construction in front of the property, but they considered that and even provided earplugs! I stayed in room 8, farthest from the road & didn’t need them at all, but what a thoughtful touch!Lauren, the host, is quick to respond & oozes hospitality, no matter how many questions you ask. This is a really great place. Book it. Stay. And eat @ Cafe Rue Orleans (on the property) while you’re there. Chef Maudie has been on Food Network competitions and won awards for her gumbo more times than I can even count! If you stay on a Saturday, her Sunday brunch is the best brunch in Fayetteville…probably all of NWA!
