“The hotel staff were very friendly. One of us has coeliac disease and the hotel accommodated her incredibly. A special mention to Sao our host in the restaurant and to the Chef Vinicius who both really took their time to explain and to assist us. Overall we had an excellent stay. “I’d say that this hotel is definitely just okay; the rooms are pretty big and in a great area, but everything is quite outdated. Our door also did not close properly resulting in us coming back to our room being wide open, which has big safety concerns. The room itself was quite dirty, and it was clear that the bare minimum was put in between guests; there were stains in the linen, on the walls, and other parts too. All in all, it’s a great place to sleep, but not for much else. ”

“Had a really good time there with my family. I actually booked another hotel in Sagres, but with much smaller space and poorer infrastructure. So I cancelled that one, and drove back again to Balaia hotel. Again the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was also an indoor swimming pool nearby. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Not to mention that the price is so attractive. Definitely worth it.”
