“What a delightful cottage!! Liz was so kind to come meet us when we arrived. The cottage is well-appointed, very clean, and decorated beautifully. My family and I loved staying here. A short easy walk to Edinbane Pottery and Edinbane Inn. ”

“Das Haus liegt definitiv nicht zentral. Das liegt aber in der Natur der Sache. Als einziges zu bemängeln war, dass die Heizungssteuerung etwas kompliziert war bzw. keine Informationen dazu Vorlagen. Ansonsten war das Haus sehr schön, es war alles vorhanden was man braucht und die Aussicht ist umwerfend. Definitiv zu empfehlen, wenn man Skyes Natur erleben möchte.”

“The home was beautiful, right on the sea! Very clean. I was unable to connect with host for check in information before arriving via text. Was told I had an email but did not. Texted for information but did not respond. Only 1 queen bed.”

“After a long day of driving past tons of sheep from Inverness, we arrived at the house on Skye. It was indeed remote, exactly as we expected. Thankfully, the wifi information was posted visibly in a window so we could check the app for entry instructions, because there was a triffling amount of cell signal out there.Once inside, the sunny kitchen was glorious. The entire house was comfortable, with great views of the water.One night we even could see the aurora in the night sky.The only downside……

“While a bit off the beaten path and rustic, our stay here was amazing! Eoin, the owner showed us around, told us some local history and even let us feed his sheep and see the newborn lambs. He also let us watch his dog Midge work the sheep. He is a wonderful host! Highly recommended!”

“The hillside location gives amazing view across Lochbay.Waternish is a convenient location to get all across the island.The cottage has tonnes of character and is very homely. There was lots of space for the 3 of us.We appreciated the washer and dryer!There is heating in every room and a log fire which we enjoyed in the evenings.The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. There is a large selection of games for children of all ages.We had excellent communication with the owner throughout.”

“My husband and I and two friends from the States recently spent three wonderful nights at The Old Church on the Isle of Skye. The beautiful old church has been thoughtfully and beautifully restored and renovated into two 3 bedroom units with ample amenities. We were in the Preachers Rest and had beautiful views of the Little Minch Strait. The stunning grounds of the property were immaculate and lovingly cared for. We would recommend this property and its proprietors without hesitation and hope……

“The owner met us there and had the fire going. He was very nice and gave us a lot of pointers on where to go and what to see, not your typical tourist attractions. We were there for a few nights for our honeymoon and he had a little surprise waiting for us when we got there. If your looking for a quiet cool little place to stay I would highly recommend staying here. Our only negative was the bed was a little small for someone who is a bit taller.”

“We had a wonderful week at the Backrest in early May. The property has all the creature comforts you might need on your stay. The property is very cosy and warm and in a quiet location over looking the loch. ”
