“The location alone is spectacular, particularly in mid-fall, though the boats are absolutely right that it's a cell phone wasteland. Fortunately the house WiFi can handle all but the most intense gaming loads (bandwidth is great but satellite-level pings) and has plenty of TVs board games, and other pastimes for those seeking a digital detox. The hosts were great with communication, offering to help when needed but also perfectly willing to keep a distance when we wanted to embrace the……

“This cabin was awesome, secluded and quiet, we explored the area with-in 2 hrs. of cabin every day, visited town shops and antique stores. Visiting New River Gorge then Buffalo Creek Lantern Cruise was the highlight of the trip, a must see. We had a pit fire every night outside the cabin, awesome firepit. Would recommend this cabin for your stay. ”

“Very nice cabin! Not far from town and food/stores. Lots of wildlife to view and very quiet for being right off the road. Wi-Fi is spotty and bathroom turns into a sauna very quickly (no exhaust fan) but otherwise a very pleasant stay! Owners were friendly and responsive to any questions/concerns we had.”

“This was a little slice of heaven! Quiet, tranquil and perfectly off the beaten path. Everything was exactly as described and was well supplied for a week's stay. Excellent spot for stargazing and we loved Rodney the Rooster the best. I would highly recommend the tiny barn on the farm as the perfect place to get away from it all. ”

“Very remote, gorgeous property. I love the swing on the porch and the views from the deck. The cabin was insanely clean- like spotless. My kids loved the video game machine and the outdoor playhouse. We enjoyed walking up to the river access as well. The only thing that all six of us hated was the staircase, but I did appreciate the baby gate that was around the bottom. The host was incredibly friendly and a super communicator. ”
