It is an old property, and the grounds were over grown. The property had character but needed some TLC. Our room was large, and had original furniture as it is an old home with kitchen, multiple rooms and a courtyard. It was a unique stay for a couple days in Tuscany. It was far from town and a drive to Florence and so a car was necessary. Parking was free. It was very quiet, felt like we were the only ones there.

I love that it was only 20 minutes to the city, for sightseeing but far enough to enjoy the quietness of the country area. The negatives would be the narrow road, the stairs in our apartment. The breakfast box was not breakfast but more like snacks

Lovely property in the middle of a 123 acre / 50 hectare olive farm. Single lane roads getting in and out of the property are precarious, if you’re not familiar with Italian roads and driving. The buffet breakfast was fair at best, although the coffee was delicious. Very few amenities available. Incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay.

A beautiful, charming countryside location with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. However, it’s a bit tricky to reach, as the roads leading to it are quite narrow and can be challenging to navigate.

When we walked in to our apartment, first off we were promised separate rooms in the apartment, which we did not get. Secondly, we were promised laundry in our apartment and we only had a dryer (this ain’t a third world country where we hand wash!) thirdly we left as soon as we got a look what were given, only to be told we can’t even get a partial refund.

Disappointed in a beautiful spot
The concept of the Fattoria il Milione was wonderful if you had a car. The remoteness without a vehicle was very difficult for us as seniors. The only restaurant on site was remote to our cabin and challenging to walk too. Our fear was at night in the dark and finding our way back to cabin. We were scheduled to stay for two nights. We stressed our concerns for walking and the darkness on trails back to cabin. We asked to check out after one night and they would not refund or accommodation. Therefore we found another hotel in Florence and left by cab at 8am the next morning. The location should be described as suitable for seniors that can walk hills and trails and should mandatory have a car. Our greatest disappointment was with the stag at the reception area they were very abrupt and dismissed our concerns for walking on unlit trails on the dark from the restaurant to our cabin. The terrain was challenging for us

The people at Fattoria were SO wonderful to our family. Our stay was delayed due to sickness during the previous part of our trip. The resort staff took extra care to make things work for our family, even accommodating our request for an apartment closer to the pool/reception/eatery. Extra props to Barbara and Andrea! The pool was large and clean and a big hit with all the kids including ours. Would happily stay here again
