Social distancing at its best!! Get away from it all at this KABIN in the woods in beautiful Kibler Valley. Located on a stocked trout stream on the Dan River, 15 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 25 miles from Chateau Morrisette, and 5 miles from the South Entrance of Primland Resort. 20 miles to Meadows of Dan and Mabry Mill and 20 miles to Andy Griffith’s hometown of Mt.Airy, NC (aka Mayberry). All easily a half day trip then relax in this peaceful setting that has approximately 200 feet of river frontage. Perfect for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing or just cooling off! Watch the river run by at the fire pit. Bring your bicycles!! Covered deck and dock overlooking the river. Area is great for hiking, biking and picnicking. Cabin is approx 1000 square feet with 1 queen bed in loft and 2 bunk beds on main floor. 2 full baths, fully stocked kitchen, living room with rock fireplace . New Central A/C and heat installed but cabin is in the woods in a valley and is usually 10-15 degrees cooler than anywhere else. Bring a jacket because you will need it at night to relax on the porch. That’s the greatest part of this remote location! You can RELAX !! Large front porch, screened in side porch, and deck off loft. Perfect for couples or small families.

**Also has been used for a beautiful mountain wedding venue and honeymoon cabin a few times! Call for more information and rates! Joy 434-549-3127. We can also provide a BBQ dinner!

Magical

Me and my husband got married there over the weekend. We held an intimate ceremony in the field across the cabin where we actually got engaged 5 years ago. We enjoyed great food in mount airy which is a short drive away but our favorite part was sitting on the porch and listening to the river. The cabin was better than the pictures and very clean. It had everything we needed and Joy was the best host and was very responsive. We cannot wait to go back!

Last minute escape

Tranquil, perfect, exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves after some stressful months. We tubed, fished, explored the town nearby, grilled, and played board games and just had the perfect escape! Hope to come back with our pups.

Gorgeous property!

This cabin was so beautiful and absolutely immaculate. The pictures online do not do it justice. I fell in love as soon as we walked in the door, only wish we could have stayed longer. Totally peaceful and serene. Spent a lot of time just relaxing on the front porch and listening to the river run. I can't wait to be able to go back again!

Cozy river retreat

This was such a cozy place. Didn't take us long to start relaxing. Our puppy loved the river and swam for the first time. Mattress was the most comfortable we have ever slept on. Cabin had everything we needed plus some. Best thing was, we had no cell service and thats what we wanted. It was perfect and definitely plan on going back!!!

Perfect Summer Getaway

Perfect vacation spot!

We loved the house and location and had a great time. The only downfall was the beds. The upstairs was as hard as a rock and we left a day early because we couldn’t find a single place to get comfortable. We loved everything else and hopefully will be back!

We headed to Meadows of Dan to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. Our in laws watched our twin toddlers so we had 4 days to ourselves to unwind - - and unplug! I am a Pediatric Registered Nurse and my husband works in Global Cybersecurity, so unplugging was HUGG for us. We loved morning coffee on the front porch watching the river roll by. We fished, rested, read, cooked dinners, and truly lost track of the time and day. NOTE: there is NO cell service for miles (even for this cybersecurity hacker who has every communication platform short of HAM radio) and no Wi-Fi. This is disclosed clearly in the listing and was TRUE with no wavering in location. This was the appeal to us. There is a landline for your use (and emergencies). Loved loved our stay. Easy in and out with lovely and helpful owners who let you just unwind with ease. Thank you!

Beautiful cabin with the best front porch. The peaceful sounds of the river flowing was my favorite part of our stay. Would definitely go again. Great place to go and relax and be one with nature.

Beautiful get a way

Just letting you guys know this cabin was beautiful. It had all the amenities you could ask for. It was beautiful scenery all around us. Our dog really enjoyed it. I wish we had booked in the summer time instead of the winter. We had a really good time there and would definitely recommend going back. The owners are very nice generous people. They even had someone check on us while we were there. Couldn't ask for more.

A Must Visit Retreat!

Looking for a lovely place to relax and unwind?? Here it is! We had such a wonderful weekend enjoying this sweet and very peaceful cabin! The cabin is in a beautiful location along the Dan River with plenty of hiking nearby and lots of trout fishing. Much of our time was spent relaxing by the fire which was such a treat. We hope to go back again in the summer months. The cabin was also very clean and had everything we needed. Joy was an incredibly helpful and responsive host!

Unplugged

Off the grid! The best host, great communication, Joy is so pleasant to talk to. We ventured out from Sutherland, VA, 4 hour drive and loved it. Dog friendly, my Lab, Lucy loved running in the water right in the front of the house. The property is amazing. We were low in the valley, between very high mountains with crystal clear water running through. Has a wood burning stove and tons of firewood. Best part is no wifi, no cable. Wasn't easy at first, missed my Phillies in the World Series but truly the best part of the trip, no work, texts or email. Great DVD selection. Just a short ride to Blue Ridge Parkway, Go Unplug!
