“Our stay was amazing. The kids had a blast fishing, kayaking, and swimming. The only downfall was having random other people coming and going from the boat launch. We were under the impression it was a private retreat and had our stuff out when a huge group showed up to use the boat launch. Luckily we were there or our stuff would have been unsupervised with strangers roaming around. I wish it would have been communicated that other people may be using the boat launch. “As advertised - the house is right on the lake. The home is well maintained and cared for. There’s four in our family. The 1-year-old excitedly said “flowers, flowers, flowerrrrrs” upon seeing the photo of sunflowers in her room every time she was being put down. The 4-year-old made good use out of the Disney Princess themed “hidden objects” book in her room and went ham on her first summer of “swimming alone” down by the dock ( splashing in waist high water with a life jacket on). A tip……

“The view is beautiful! There were plenty of games and activities to keep the kids busy and off of their electronics. Mostly clean place, and it was well stocked for every need. We would definitely stay again! ”

“Nice older building, one thing to keep in mind there isn't any internet, phone service or TV. For us it was okay we utilize the blue ray for my grandson. For our needs the worked out fine since most of everything we had to do was in Newport for our daughters wedding. Pastor Ted is a very nice accommodating man.”

“This was our short summer vacation as a family while attending a wedding in Newport. The small home was perfect for us! We planned like we were camping as small-town shopping is approx 20 each way. Because the house & lake are amazing, we wanted all the time we could to be AT the rental. We very much enjoyed our stay!”

“Fun place to stay and comfortable. The listing needs to be more specific about beds and placement. It was not quite accurate. It says there are 2 queen beds plus 1 loft bed in the main house, which I was planning on, but there is only 1 queen bed and the loft bed. Otherwise, it was a nice place and I would probably go back again. Loon Lake is a very nice lake!”
