“Highlight of our stay was definitely the spa shower. Another favorite was relaxing on the front porch while listening to the rain on the metal porch roof. The cabin is thoughtfully equipped with everything you may need as well as many thoughtful extras. Highly recommend.”

“We loved the house and that it is located on a working farm no more than 30 minutes away from all the Mammoth Cave hot spots and even closer to Bowling Green attractions. Enjoyed the rural atmosphere, the pool, and watching the cows play. Would definitely stay here again! ”

“This private oasis was the perfect location as a quiet, comfortable landing zone for our time in Springfield. We enjoyed the comfortable bed, the outdoor living space and the fire pit. Hosts were informative, communicative and allowed us space and privacy. The only regret is not catching the sunset from the beautiful location. I will book again if my plans bring me to the area again. ”

“Property owners were amazing and very helpful. Replied to any questions very quickly. The cabin was fabulous. So many things to do. Hot tub, games, tvs, kayaks, trails, river, scavenger hunt. The owners have thought of everything! I would definitely recommend this place over and over again. ”

“Loved being right in the trees, with a peek of the James River down below. Visually it does feel secluded. However, the highway noise is always present, so you're aware that you're not actually "away from it all."Additionally, if the venue up the hill is hosting an event you will hear all of their music, the emcee, etc. Wasn't really a problem for us, but others might prefer complete quiet and only nature sounds.The room was great, the bed was incredibly comfortable. “nice carriage house. property could use some TLC cleaning outside and a deep clean inside with the windows, blinds, etc. Bathroom very small but manageable. bed very comfortable and really good TV and internet access. had a pleasant stay and will return again.”

“Fantastic location, beautiful new cabin. Loved the deck. However, loads of poison ivy and overgrown grass and weeds around the cabin prevented us from enjoying the walking path or river access. ”

“The property is clean, well-maintained, super cute. We absolutely loved the uniqueness of The Gainery! The wifi signal was spotty on the main floor but better upstairs or outside--which just made us sightsee and firepit more instead lol. We would've loved a full-length mirror as avid hikers enjoying the trees, but that's a minor detail. Overall we loved this listing and would definitely stay again.”

“Cute little cabin, sleeps 6. Quiet, in the woods just outside Ava city. Kitchen is just a dorm fridge, microwave, coffeemaker. We brought our own tabletop grill and cookstove. Fun property with room for kids to play, playground, picnic tables, firepit to roast marshmallow.”
