We only stayed one night but the lady at the front desk was super friendly. The room was clean.. if I had to say one thing negative about the place it would be that the room had a strong chemical smell to it like they were trying to cover up a smell of some sort but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

We love that it's right next to the walking trail/bike path. You can see the ocean from the room; we had an upper room so were able to leave the sliding door open a bit to hear the ocean all night. Minor inconvenience: the refrigerator made a creaky sound when it turned on which lasted several minutes. I forgot to report that when we checked out. Also, the jetted tub is so high you have to use a step stool to get in. We didn't use the tub, but that's the only shower. We would have foregone the tub if we'd known. But a wonderful stay anyway. We'll be back.

Right next to a walking path that was perfect for bike riding. Chose room online with fireplace but didnt get one, but thats ok. Heater worked nicely. Room was nice size and beds were comfortable. Did see ants in bathroom but no big deal. Was nice to hear waves at night and in morning. Will stay here again.

I enjoyed Thanksgiving week in a jacuzzi king room! The water was hot and the jets were strong! Everything was wonderful - from the view and the sounds of the waves crashing to the friendly reception staff. I liked how easy it was to pop up and go for a walk along the paved coastal path. It was nice to relax in the red chairs on the balcony. I was delighted to see whales swimming past. I hope to get back to Surf & Sand Lodge soon.

Great Views no so great bed.
The bed needed to be replaced, we could feel the springs and woke up sore every morning. There was no closet or hooks to hang your clothing. No room service at all. Covid is over refresh the rooms. The plus was it is on the beach fantastic views and walkability.

Amazing find right outside of Mendocino. LOVE!
We were so very satisfied with our stay here. We normally stay in Mendocino but in the future...we will be right back here. Beautifully appointed, incredibly clean, awesome view, and very short walk to the ocean. I would recommend to all my friends to give thos Fort Bragg gem a try. It will not disappoint. Hotel Manager and staff were amzing as well!

Beautiful, cozy, ocean view
Absolutely beautiful view of the ocean. Room was clean, and felt cozy while offering tons of room. Immediately regretted not having a longer stay, and already figuring out when to go visit again. Looking forward to another stay here.

Having an ocean view was awesome! Several walking paths that took you down to the water or to a cliff overlooking the ocean was really, really nice. We had room 104 and it was very nice. The ONLY negative was the lighting in the room was not the greatest, but that is honestly the only thing I would recommend improving. We will definitely stay here again.
