I was trapped in the elevator and had to climb out to safety. Never would I imagine this at a Marriott. No one came to address the issue, but we rather had to complain to them regarding it. They also had construction going on and it was very noisy when trying to relax by the pool. They were working right above the pool, making us scared something would fall on us. The room also promised water view and we were not given a beach facing room. They also present a $34 USD fee in a way that doesn’t seem like you will be charged and then they proceed to charge you, without providing the amenities for it. We ended up buying things like water because they never provided it to us, but charged us daily for it. The staff cleaned the room once on our 4 night trip, even when we had left the room for entire days to come back to dirty towels. When checking out, they almost didn’t apply our “discount” on the dining, and almost got away with charging us an extra $50 USD until we confronted them. Overall a very poor experience. Unsafe, loud, and very poor customer service.
