I had reserved a 720 sqf deluxe suite over a month prior to the date. I got there 1 hour after check-in and the front desk lady told me that there is a puddle of water on the living room floor rug, and if that was ok (?). I said no, that’s not ok.
She got the manager who was very accommodating and switched my room to another suite (smaller, even though he claimed it was an upgrade). I went up, but after 6 hours I decided to check out and leave. The Stench of mold and wet carpet was completely overbearing, and I was concerned about health for sanitary reasons. If the room was in such condition as is, I couldn’t phantom even taking my clothes off to sleep in that bed. The sides of the carpet in the room were ripped, stained, and just not in good shape.
Paying top dollar for a literal suite that I had to leave because of overwhelming stench, was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. To no fault of the staff however. I would like a refund being that 1. I didn’t get the suite I had initially reserved 2. I had to leave the property after a few hours due to overwhelming stench and was not able to spend the night, fearing it would make me ill.
